Meredith specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families who are seeking treatment for OCD and Anxiety. She treats people with Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety, Specific Phobias, and OCD (experience with most OCD presentations). Meredith primarily works with patients between the ages of 10 and 30. She may make exceptions to this age range on a case-by-case basis.

Meredith provides evidenced-based care from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) foundation, with a heavy emphasis on Exposure/Response Prevention (ERP). This treatment involves learning to face your anxiety/OCD triggers and sit with the discomfort. She also incorporates certain strategies from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Treatment will include psychoeducation, development of awareness and understanding of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and interventions targeting unhelpful thinking and behavioral patterns. CBT with ERP is considered the Gold-Standard treatment for OCD and other Anxiety disorders. In ERP, patients will deliberately enter situations that are anxiety-provoking in order to create new learning opportunities that re-wire the brain’s fear response.
CBT with ERP is an active therapy, where you will be asked to work on your fears in and outside of session. For more information about ERP, please check out the International OCD Foundation website.

Services are entirely virtual via a HIPAA-compliant platform. Telehealth allows flexibility to meet and do the work in the environment you most need it. Keep in mind a private, stationary place is necessary for all sessions!
Patients must be physically located in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.
-
Meredith sees patients Monday-Friday, with hours varying depending on the day.
There are a limited number of afterschool spots available, and those are booked up pretty quickly. The more flexible you can be with your schedule, the more likely we will be able to work together.
For children/adolescents- consider if your child has weekly early release days, or if they could go into school late for an early morning appointment.

Meredith accepts private/self-pay. She does not contract with any insurance companies. Online payments are accepted, and due at the time of service.
Meredith may be considered "out of network" depending on your insurance plan and provider.
It is your responsibility to contact the insurance company regarding these benefits prior to starting treatment. Meredith can provide a monthly Superbill upon request, although this is not a guarantee of reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. These benefits are most commonly available through PPO insurance plans.
